ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT POLICY

Bayal Quartz and Feldspar Mine is committed to minimising and preventing any adverse impact on the environment caused by our activities and will strive to:

• Utilise resources efficiently - Maximise efficient use of resources and minimise environmental impacts arising from use of these resources.
• Improve biodiversity and ecosystems - Maintain, and where appropriate, enhance the sustainability of the natural resources and ecosystems used and administered in business activities.
• Set targets - Develop and set environmental targets in consultation with stakeholders.
• Compliance - Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, standards, codes of practice and agreements.
• Implement management systems - Commit to continual improvement by implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management System
• Promote awareness and responsiveness - Promote awareness of, and appropriate response to, relevant environmental issues.
• Cutting down carbon foot print – Effecting reduction of dependency on fossil fuel, developing green zones thus reducing our carbon foot prints significantly.
